Get Off

Get off the internet.

Get off Twitter.

Get off Facebook.

Remove your eyes from the screen they've become glued to.

Call an old friend.

Catch up over coffee.

Do something else today.

Just get off the internet.

Learn to talk.

Learn to listen.

Learn to have a conversation.

Technology is killing communication.

I'm on facebook, I'm on twitter, I'm on the internet, I'm staring at the screen. And it is so bad.
Thank you for this post lovely! Hopefully I will get off soon and study for my exams! x

amen, sister. I think moderation is key. I love technology but I own my laptop, it doesn't own me!
No matter what, NO MATTER WHAT, iChat will never replace catching up with a friend over coffee or browsing the bookstore and finding a gem. thanks for the reminder. you are such a cool chick. xo

Ugh, between work & school I feel like I've done nothing but stare at a computer screen for the last 2 weeks!
I've just finished & submitted all my assignments & now I can't wait to get some quality physical friend time in!

I am also hooked and so attached to the internet. It's both powerful and destructive. It's good to know that there are people like you who try their best to be not abusive of the technology and try everything so that we can still live a natural life even without the comfort and convenience it brings. You have a great spot in the net in here! :)

I'm on facebook, msn and I'm reading your blog. I'm also in a hostel in London, and I can see atleast 10 other people on their laptops. I don't smoke..the internet is mmy only addiction..but, if one of my friends said 'yo, I'm in London let's go out'..well, I'd be there.

erm, point was..I agree, internet -easiest form of communcation, kills real interaction.

Thank God i'm not the only human left who still needs real life interaction. The internet is fine and good, but people have started to neglect parts of themselves, others, and their relationships because of it. :S
